Mean Old Tom's Half and Half

Posted by Wine Gourmet on

Did you ever have a chocolate orange as a child? This cocktail is slightly reminiscent of the citrus chocolatey goodness. Maine Beer Company’s Mean Old Tom Stout features notes of coffee, dark chocolate, and aged vanilla beans with a silky mouthfeel while Bell's Oberon features citrus aromas. While mixing two beers seems too simple to call a cocktail, this mix is perfect for summer!

YIELD: 1 16oz beverage    ACTIVE TIME: 2 minutes

Ingredients

  • 8oz Bell's Oberon
  • 8oz Maine Beer Company's Mean Old Tom Stout

Instructions:

  1. First pour in the Bell's Oberon carefully into the glass to avoid any head on the beer.
  2. Pour Maine Beer Company's Mean Old Tom Stout gently over the backside of a spoon on top of the Bell's Oberon within the glass. This avoids too much agitation of the beers.
