- 2 ½ oz Bourbon
- 2 Sugar Cubes or .5 oz of Simple Syrup
- 3-5 Mint Leaves
- 1 cup of Crushed Ice
- Mint Sprig
- Place mint leaves and sugar cubes or simple syrup in the bottom of a julep cup and gently press together to release the flavor in the mint leaves. (Muddle mint gently enough to release the essential oils containing flavor but not hard enough to tear the leaves.)
- Next add ice, pour bourbon on top, and stir until cup becomes slightly frosty.
- Garnish with mint sprig.
