The Finest Cherry On Top

Posted by Wine Gourmet on

For more than 100 years, the Italian family owned company, Fabbri 1905, has been devoted to offering the finest ingredients for bartenders and culinary professionals alike. One thing they’re known for “inventing” is Amarena Fabbri; a famous Italian preserve made from wild Amarena cherries that possess a distinct flavor perfect for use in cocktails, desserts, and more.

When we say they’re devoted to the finest ingredients, it’s backed by their quality certifications in food standards and commitments to diversity, the wellbeing of their clients, and the planet. Fabbri 1905 is Star K- Kosher, Halal, Lactose Free, Gluten Free, Vegan, and free of GMO ingredients, high fructose corn syrup, and palm oil. To top it all off, their commitments to the planet include water conservation, energy conservation, and excess emissions control.

The infamous Amarena Fabbri and its unmistakable blue packaging, was born in the 1920’s but has now become synonymous with Fabbri 1905 and the 95 countries they export to. So, what makes wild Amarena cherries become Amarena Fabbri? First and foremost, all wild cherries need to be fresh, crunchy, and fit within a set of standard production dimensions. For example, smaller cherries are used for gelato makers while larger cherries are used for pastry chefs that garnish desserts. While production is overseen by some of the most advanced software, expert professionals hand select the final cherry. After the final selection is made and the pits have been removed, the highest quality cherries are candied through their company’s secret process that’s produced the infamous cherries for nearly a century.

Thanks to the awesome folks over at Fabbri 1905, they’ve shared some delectable recipes with us using their world famous Amarena Fabbri.
