Hames Valley, California

Vintage: 2015
Varietals: Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot
Alc. By Vol: 14.5%

Tasting Note: Very Dark Red. The name frankly speaks for itself. Petit Verdot is a grape of dark color, stout tannins and concentrated flavors. The small berries of Petite Sirah means a more intense maceration of skin-to-juice ratio and some of the longest tannins of any vinifera. Together they create a dark, concentrated wine that can be enjoyed now but will age well for a decade or more.  VDR is full-bodied yet supple, with deep, ripe fruit flavors of black currant and black raspberry perfumed by delicate notes of crushed violet.  A firm, chalky tannin structure belies the velvety, luscious mouthfeel.  Dense flavors integrate beautifully for a long, layered finish.

11. Petit Batard, Red Wine | $37.99

Napa Valley, California

Vintage: 2014
Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec

Concentrated fruit on the front end and elegantly long on ending.

12. Obsidian Ridge, Estate Cabernet Sauvignon | $37.99

Red Hills Lake County, California

Vintage: 2017
Varietals: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Alc. By Vol: 14.6%

Tasting Note: Your nose is teased with coffee nibs, blueberries and black pepper, but a shy side emerges after time in the glass: blackberries and a gentle floral lift. Flavors of dark chocolate, coffee and fresh blackberry are carried on silky tannins—they speak clearly, but don’t shout. 2017 is a riper, fuller, but quieter vintage of our signature bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon
